OECD 237: Honeybee (apis mellifera) larval toxicity test (single exposure)
The OECD 237: Honeybee (apis mellifera) Larval Toxicity Test (single exposure) is a study designed to determine the minimum lethal dose (LD50) of a chemical after one-time application to a brood of honeybee larvae. Larvae are taken from three different colonies and fed a standardized diet before being administered a test chemical. Mortalities are recorded and the LD50 is determined.
